Creating an Axion Portal Account for the Corning Cell Counter

 

To use the Corning Cell Counter and review the data on the Axion Portal (portal.axionbio.com), you need to create an account. There are two methods available to register an account.

 

1. Using the Corning Cell Counter Device

  1. Set up your Corning Cell Counter and connect it to a USB 3.0 port to the laptop.
  2. Download and install the software application from download.axionbio.com
  3. Open the software application. When the login screen appears, the device is connected properly.
  4. On the login screen, find the text: "Register here if you don’t have a Portal account”. Click on the “here” link to begin the registration process.
  5. Fill in the necessary details to complete your account creation.   

 

2. Without the Corning Cell Counter Device

  1. Ask a colleague within your organization that already has an account to share a project with you. 

    Note: the colleague must be the creator of the project (project owner). 

        2. The project owner can share a project by opening the project on the Axion Portal (portal.axionbio.com) and selecting             “Share Project” (please see image below). They must enter your email address in the provided field and click “Add”,                 followed by “Send” to submit.

 

 

  1. You will receive an invitation via email. Please check your spam folders.
  2. Click the link in the email and follow the instructions to register your account. 
  3. You can now use this account to perform experiments with the Corning Cell Counter. 

 

Important notes: 

  • For a demo unit, the organization name can be uniquely filled in by each user. However, it is recommended to use the same organization name as your colleagues to easily share experiments without needing to switch organizations in the Portal. It is therefore recommended to use option 2.
  • For a sold unit, the first customer registering the device will be the administrator and will need to fill in the organization name. This name must be non-existent, and it is therefore recommended to specify this organization name as much as possible. For any subsequent registrations on this device, the organization name will be pre-filled and cannot be changed during the registration process.
