Troubleshooting: Well detection Failed in Full Scan (Omni BR / FL)

Modified on Mon, 23 Oct, 2023 at 4:16 AM

The well detection of my experiment failed. The full scan results have wrong detection of my wells and this impairs my analysis.

There can be multiple reasons why the well detection failed:

  1. The wrong well plate type was selected. Verify whether the right well plate was selected. If not, restart the experiment with the correct plate type.
  2. The well plate is not placed correctly on the device. Ensure well A1 is placed in the corner of the adaptor plate and restart the experiment.
  3. The background is too bright. If there is not enough contrast between the well plate and the background, the wells cannot be detected. Decrease the exposure time and restart the experiment.
  4. The well plate has different dimensions than the standard well plates. Click on the Draw new well-plate icon in the map view of the Portal. This will allow you to delete all existing areas and draw a new well plate.
